What does a Care Home Manager do?
As a Registered Care Home Manager, you’ll be accountable for the operational functioning, strategic development and business success of your home.
No two days are the same. This is an inward and outward focused position, demanding attention to multiple factors, including but not limited to:
quality initiatives and improvement
team leadership and management
recruitment and colleague development
referral management and occupancy
data collection, analysis and interpretation
financial management
customer relationships and marketing to ensure business sustainability and success.

Clinical support in your home
Each of our care homes has one or two Clinical Nurse Managers as well as a team of Unit Managers, Registered Nurses and Health Care Assistants on each unit.
Dedicated support from a Regional Director
You’ll be supported by a Regional Director of Operations who oversees no more than ten care homes, so they have time to provide hands-on support.
High staffing levels
Our homes have higher than average staffing levels, based on the needs of the people we support. Our average Nurse to Health Care Assistant ratio is 1:6, and it’s not uncommon to find up to six Health Care Assistants on a unit that supports ten people.
Centralised support functions
We have a talented team of central support functions who are there to help. Our Central Services includes our Quality Team, Clinical Team, Recruitment Team, HR Team, Learning and Development Team and Referrals Team.

Bespoke induction
When you start with us, you’ll do a welcome induction which introduces you to the company, our mission and values. You’ll also complete mandatory and statutory training.
After that, you’ll do a role specific induction, supported by an experienced Home Manager.
