What does a Registered Nurse do?

No two days are the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
assessing, planning and delivering professional, skilled and effective person-centred, evidence-based nursing care
developing collaborative needs-based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
administering medication sfaely
supporting good health and wellbeing
liaising with external health care professionals
leading and managing a clinical team on the unit.
What training and development can I do as a Registered Nurse?
To be the best Nurse you can be, we'll empower and support your ongoing development.
You'll start with a welcome induction to learn more about the company and our values.
Then, you'll have a role-specific induction in your home with three weeks supernumerary time.
We'll continue to support you with access to learning and development training including:

Preceptorship for newly qualified Nurses
The first few months after registration are both exciting and challenging.
Exemplar Health Care’s preceptorship programme takes you from student to professional registered practitioner, giving you the best possible start to your nursing career.
We’ll guide you through a structured 12-month transition programme as you become a qualified Nurse and develop your skills.
The first 12 weeks of the programme are supernumerary. You’ll work alongside a Registered Nurse and have regular meetings with your preceptor, so there’ll always be someone by your side.
They’ll take you through our bespoke induction workbook, which covers everything from your responsibilities and accountabilities to safeguarding and personal development plans.
