Modern slavery act

Exemplar Health Care is a leading provider of complex care in the UK, currently operating over 50 homes and a support function, and, for the purposes of this statement, includes its group companies.

A list of these group companies can be found below. 

Exemplar Health Care’s mission is to be the care provider of choice for our service users.

Exemplar Health Care is committed to combating slavery and human trafficking and acting with integrity in all its relationships.

It has implemented a Modern Slavery Policy reflecting this commitment.

Exemplar Health Care’s 'Dignity at Work', 'Equal Opportunities', and 'Whistleblowing' policies are additional mechanisms which support the combat of modern slavery.

Although committed to carrying out proper due diligence, as a private healthcare company, Exemplar Health Care considers the risk of modern slavery to be low due to the nature of its limited supply chains.

Exemplar Health Care has not received any reports of instances of modern slavery over the past financial year but will continue to raise awareness of modern slavery and of the need for proper due diligence and risk assessment processes to be applied by staff and suppliers, in accordance with its policy.

During the year, we continue to provide advice and guidance to those teams who have direct responsibility for relevant supply chains.

Over the course of the next financial year we will continue to enhance our procedures to help us identify, prevent and mitigate any risks of modern slavery or human trafficking in relation to new and existing suppliers and in relation to our own operations.

This statement has been formally approved by the Directors of Exemplar Health Care and signed on their behalf.
