For more than 25 years, we’ve been making every day better for adults living with complex needs.
Exemplar Health Care began as a healthcare management consultancy and training firm.
Yet we quickly identified a significant gap in the care market: a lack of person-centred, supportive care homes for younger adults with complex needs.
This insight sparked the mission we still live by today: to transform complex care and provide more fulfilling opportunities for those who need it most.

Expanding our reach - and our care
In 2001, we acquired our first five care homes, and Longley Park View in Sheffield became our flagship location.
As our reputation for exceptional care grew, so did the number of people we support.
Today, we operate more than 60 care homes across England, offering community-based living for adults aged 18+.
Without Exemplar Health Care, many of these people would live in secure or hospital settings, or inappropriate care environments that don’t meet their needs.
Nurse-led care for complex needs
Thanks to our unique model, our care truly makes a difference.
Unlike most traditional care providers, we specialise in supporting individuals with multiple diagnoses, co-morbidities, and complex needs arising from neurological, mental, and physical health conditions.
Our nurse-led teams - including general, mental health, and learning disability nurses - provide an integrated level of support that many other providers and specialist units cannot offer.
