Company welcome induction - everyone who joins us will take part in a welcome induction which tells you more about who we are and our values, and supports you to complete mandatory and statutory training.

Role-specific induction - following the welcome induction, you’ll complete a role-specific induction in your new workplace and/or team to ensure you feel confident and competent in your new role.

Support from a buddy - during your first few weeks with us, you’ll be supported by a buddy in your home who’ll show you the ropes and answer any questions you have.

Care Certificate - if you’re new to care, you’ll complete the Care Certificate, the agreed set of standards that define the behaviours, knowledge and skills expected of health and social care workers.

Nurse induction - you’ll do a bespoke Registered Nurse induction with the support of a buddy which covers all aspects of your role and includes 12 weeks supernumerary time.

Preceptorship - if you join us as a newly qualified Nurse or Nurse Associate, you’ll complete our preceptorship programme to give you the best possible start to your nursing career.

Learning and development

ELMS

eLearning on ELMS - you’ll get access to our the Exemplar Learning Management System (ELMS) where you can complete a range of clinical training modules and mandatory training.

ABC of Caring

ABC of Caring programme - if you work in a Health Care Assistant or Activities Coordinator role, you can apply for our in-house ABC of Caring programme which teaches the essential skills and behaviours needed to provide the highest standards of care.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships, diplomas and qualifications - no matter what role you work in, you’ll be able to explore the range of apprenticeships we offer through our partnership with Lifetime, as well as role specific diplomas and qualifications.

Supervision and Performance Development Reviews - to support your ongoing development, you’ll have regular supervisions and an annual PDR to discuss your objectives, celebrate your achievements and plan your career goals.

People Management Skills - if you’re a new or existing Manager, this programme will help you to manage people processes and develop your emotional intelligence skills to bring the best out in people.

NHS Leadership Academy programmes - if you’re an aspiring or new clinical Manager, we’ll support you to apply for the Edward Jenner Programme, which is led by the NHS Leadership Academy to develop your leadership skills.

Talent Management Programme – if you’re in a middle or senior management role, this programme offers one-to-one coaching, masterclasses and on-the-job development opportunities to help you develop in your role.

Coaching

Coaching – if you’re looking for that bit of extra support, you can access one of our trained coaches. They help you grow by exploring issues affecting your work performance and supporting you to explore your options.

Registered Nurse learning and development

Practice Supervisor and Assessor training - as a requirement of the NMC Education Standards (2018), you'll complete Practice Supervisor training so you’re equipped to support the future nursing workforce as they complete their practice placements with us.

RCNi Learning platform - to support your clinical skills development and support revalidation, you'll have free access to the RCNi Learning platform. As well as over 180 CPD modules, you can complete and store evidence for revalidation in your ‘RCNi Revalidation Portfolio’.

The Royal Marsden of Clinical and Nursing Procedures - to keep up-to-date with the latest clinical procedures and practices, you'll have free access to the manual which includes over 350 evidence-based clinical procedures related to every aspect of care, from handwashing to cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
