Construction of Laurel Place, our latest multi-million-pound complex care home in Bishop Auckland is underway.

Due to open in 2024, the home will provide nursing care for adults living with complex and high acuity needs.

Work started on Laurel Place in County Durham last month and when complete, will have 32 bedrooms and six apartments. The apartments are specially designed for adults who are ready to live more independently. However, residents will receive nurse-led support which will remain available around the clock.

Each of the 32 bedrooms will have its own en-suite wet room. The home will have communal dining and living spaces, sensory bathrooms, an activities hub, surrounded by landscaped gardens. There is a dedicated therapy room offering holistic therapeutic care and support led by the in-home Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
