Has complex clinical needs requiring ongoing, coordinated care
Has physical health conditions such as diabetes, dysphagia, epilepsy, and respiratory conditions
Requires care for clinical interventions such as catheters, CPAP, PEGs, tracheostomies, and non-invasive ventilation
Displays behaviours of concern
May require high observation levels, including 1:1 or 2:1 support upon admission, often reducing over time as wellbeing stabalises
Requires end-of-life care, now or in future
Hulme Unit
Has complex mental health needs arising from a mental health or neurological diagnosis, such as Korsakoff Syndrome or dementia
Displays behaviours of concern
Requires individualised staffing and observation levels, including 1:1 or 2:1 support upon admission, often reducing over time as wellbeing stabalises
Requires structured, evidence-based behavioural support from a highly trained team
Requires care focused on independence and meaningful engagement, working towards outcomes that improve quality of life, and where appropriate, support a rehabilitation pathway to a lower acuity setting
