Our Nurse-led team provides person-centred nursing care and rehabilitation that focuses on maximising independence and building everyday living skills. We aim to empower people to live fulfilled lives.
The home provides community based living for 20 adults living with a severe or profound and multiple learning disability (PMLD) and/or autism, who may also display behaviours of concern, be living with complex mental health needs or have a physical disability.
About Quarryfields
We provide a supportive environment at Quarryfields. People get the specialist nursing care they need, and are able to stay closer to their loved ones.
Quarryfields has 24 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across a range of accommodations, including single and shared occupancy flats and houses.
The home has communal dining and living spaces and a large accessible garden. The home also has a resident-run café, The Platform, which provides education and volunteering opportunities.

Sandstone Unit supports up to eight adults living with severe learning disabilities and sensory needs.
- Moonstone Unit

Moonstone Unit supports up to four adults living with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs. The unit is exclusively for people who identify as female.
- Quartz Unit

Quartz Unit supports up to eight adults living with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs. The unit is exclusively for people who identify as male.

Complex care at Quarryfields
As a specialist care home, Quarryfields has an excellent track record of supporting adults whose placements have previously failed. Our high staffing levels allow us to build trust and work at the pace of the individual, which leads to improved person-centred and longer-term outcomes.
Many of the people we support at Quarryfields are deemed to display behaviours that are ‘too complex’ for mainstream nursing and care providers.
For many of our service users, we’re successful in achieving a significant reduction in behaviours of concern and use of observations within 12 weeks of stay.
