Position: Senior Occupational Therapist - North East
Care home: Hylton Grange, Tees Grange & Tyne Grange
Location: Covering 3 homes within the NE (Sunderland, Stockton-on-Tees and Newcastle Upon Tyne)
Contract type: Full time - 40 hours per week.
Rate: Up to £40,000 per annum

About the role
Our Occupational Therapists provide specialist assessments, clinical diagnoses and interventions to help people overcome the challenges they face with completing everyday tasks and activities.
You’ll work as part of a wider Clinical Team to create person-centred care and rehabilitation plans that maintain and build people’s abilities, support them to achieve their goals and evaluate their outcomes.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
working alongside the people we support, their loved ones and professionals to develop and deliver person-centred occupational therapy interventions
collaborating closely with the Therapy Team (Physiotherapist, Therapy Assistant and Activities Coordinators)
being responsible for a clinical caseload
carrying out assessments
maintaining accurate records for people receiving occupational therapies
promoting choice, dignity and independence.

About you

To apply for this role, you must have a BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered.

Getting to Tees Grange
Directions to Tees Grange
Tees Grange is a short drive from the A19 and other major roads including the A66 and A177.
If travelling north on the A19, take the A139 exit towards Norton/Billingham/A1027.
If travelling south on the A19, take the A1027 exit towards Billingham/Norton.
There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park.
Public transport to Tees Grange
The home is a short walk from several bus stops.
The Grange bus stop (stop ID: sktdatd), which is accessed by buses 35, 36, 37, 38 and 52.
Grassholm Road bus stop (stop ID: sktjmag), which is accessed by bus 38.
Army Reserve Centre bus stop (stop ID: sktdatd) which is accessed by buses 36, 52 and X10.
There are two train stations in the area.
Stockton - 1.3 miles away (29 minute walk or five minute drive).
Billingham - 2.5 miles away (ten minute drive).
