Position: Regional Physiotherapist 
Location: Liverpool & Warrington
Contract type: Full Time

Rate: Up to £47,000 per annum

About the role

Our Regional Physiotherapists provide specialist assessments, clinical diagnoses and interventions to support the people in our care, as well as developing therapy services across aregion.

You’ll work as part of a wider Clinical Team to ensure the people we support receive high-quality care.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • being responsible for a clinical caseload

  • working alongside the people we support, their loved ones and professionals to develop and deliver person-centred physiotherapy interventions

  • carrying out assessments 

  • monitoring, evaluating and recording people’s progress, and updating and adapting their care plan as required 

  • working closely with professionals from a range of agencies including GPs, Consultants, NHS colleagues, Primary Care Trusts (PCT) and Social Services, to ensure that peoples ongoing care is timely and effective 

  • maintaining effective communication systems and practices throughout the home(s), particularly within the wider Therapy Team which may include Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants 

  • training, supervising and developing a team of Therapists in your region

  • promoting choice, dignity and independence. 

 

About you

As a Regional Physiotherapist, you’ll: 

  • have a thorough understanding of physiotherapy best practice including specialist clinical assessment, reasoning skills and treatment skills 

  • demonstrate strong leadership and effective supervision of clinical teams 

  • demonstrate an excellent range of physiotherapy interventions and treatments 

  • have a good knowledge and experience of the assessment, admission and discharge process

  • be an excellent role model and be able to coach, motivate, teach and support your colleagues 

  • treat all colleagues, service users and visitors with dignity and respect 

  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • have good working IT knowledge and digital skills 

  • have detailed knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and work within the Codes of Practice

  • comply with regulatory requirements for quality and safety and meet CQC standards. 

 

To apply for this role, you must have a BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy and be HCPC registered.
