Operational Quality Improvement Manager
Position: Operational Quality Improvement Manager
Location: All Exemplar Health Care homes listed below within the East & West Midlands region
(Greenacre Park, Scotia Heights, Yarningdale, Woodside Place, Coronation Court)
Contract type: 40 hours per week, predominately Monday to Friday but must be flexible
Rate: £55,500 per annum + £3,000 car allowance
This is an exciting opportunity to join us as our new Operational Quality Improvement Manager covering our homes within the East & West Midlands region.
In this role, you’ll act in a proactive manner to support services to provide the highest standards of care via a systematic, coordinated and coaching approach.

About the role
As an Operational Quality Improvement Manager with Exemplar Health Care, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Clinical Director to deliver the Exemplar Quality Strategy – focussing on the key themes of clinical excellence, sustainable outstanding quality, digital transformation, responsiveness and service user voice.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
working with the Operational team (Clinical Nurse Managers specifically) to offer support, coach and be action focused
being a link nurse for the company on one of the following specialisms (this role will also include the updating of policies relating to those specialisms and ensuring paperwork used throughout the organisation is relevant and current):
nutrition and hydration (including dysphagia and diabetes)
tissue viability
continence
end of life (to include verification of death)
following an improvement strategy per service focusing on compliance and effectiveness of:
quality assurance (to include clinical stats management, RCA and follow up)
care plans and risk assessments
action plan compliance
supporting Clinical Nurse Managers to update action plans following internal/external inspections
ensuring specialist training analysis reviews are conducted monthly and support is given to ensure optimal compliance
assisting with the development of quality policies and procedures, quality tools and audit and information materials
supporting the implementation of new initiatives to improve Service User quality of life.

About you

You’ll also:
be a Registered Nurse
be able to evidence further professional development in relation to care, management or quality
hold a coaching qualification (ideally), and be able to coach and motivate others
have a strong background in action planning and Service User care focus
have excellent written and verbal communication skills
be pragmatic in approach with strong problem solving and analytical skills and have the ability to apply these in complex and challenging situations
be able to work collaboratively across the business
be able to travel to all locations of the business.

The home is on the left as you turn onto Elmdon Drive.
There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park. Street parking is available on Elmdon Drive and Gipsy Lane.
