Financial Accountant

Position: Financial Accountant 
Location: Ferham House, Rotherham, S61 1AJ 
Contract type: Full time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, 40 hours a week
Rate: £48,000 per annum  
Start date: March 2025

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join  us as a Financial Accountant in Rotherham.


As a Financial Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering audit ready financial accounts for Exemplar Health Care. You’ll be proactive, enthusiastic and know your role contributes to making every day better for the people we support.

About the role 


No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

•    preparing year end accounts for the Exemplar Group and its subsidiaries with support from our dedicated accounts preparation providers
•    aligning monthly management accounts to statutory accounts
•    maintaining a lease database to ensure accurate IFRS16 reporting
•    maintaining debt database to ensure accurate reporting
•    carrying out year-end compliance tasks such as IFRS9 and Goodwill impairment review
•    liaising with appropriate advisors, primarily auditors and tax consultants
•    taxing compliance matters 
•    reviewing completed balance sheet reconciliations and support resolution of balances 
•    carrying out monthly analysis tasks to support management information.

About you
Above all, you’re someone who identifies with our values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork.

You’ll also have:

•    ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant qualifications
•    experience of consolidations and accounting in practice
•    strong numerical skills and attention to detail
•    strong problem solving and analytical skills
•    high level of Excel competency
•    strong organisational skills to be able to multitask and prioritise.
