Longley Park View residents enjoyed their local tea dance, a dementia friendly live singing event with refreshments.
Just a short care ride away from the home in Sheffield, The Crucible Theatre hosts a monthly dementia-friendly tea dance.
The events aim to get people up dancing, singing and socialising with members of their local community.
And that’s certainly what the team at Longley Park View does!
Residents, Janet, Ian and Ken, go most months, sometimes joined by Ian’s wife.
They love the fun day out with friends, cakes and dancing.
Dawn, Activities Co-Ordinator at Longley Park View shared,
“Our residents really enjoy the day out at the tea dance, we go every month and they have a great singer who interacts with everyone.”
