Tees Grange has 30 bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across three units.
With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely, and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
The home has communal dining and living spaces, sensory bathrooms, an activities hub, a therapy room, beauty salon, and large accessible garden.
We offer a variety of accessible baths and showers for a range of mobility needs.
Tees Grange is near local amenities and transport links, helping people stay connected to the community.
Profile of need by unit
Aylesbury Unit
Has severe cognitive impairment arising from a neurological condition, such as dementia (including early-onset dementia) and other acquired brain conditions where symptoms present similarly to dementia
Presents with predominant mental health and behavioural needs
Displays behaviours of concern
May require high observation levels upon admission, including 1:1 or 2:1, reducing over time as health and wellbeing stabilises
May have co-occurring physical health needs such as incontinence, mobility decline, nutritional and hydration risks, pain management, and swallowing difficulties
May require care for clinical interventions such as catheters, enteral feeding, Hickman lines, and medication regimes
May have experienced one or more failed placements, or delayed discharge from hospital
Where possible, requires slow-stream rehabilitation and/or is working towards discharge to a less restrictive, lower acuity setting
Or,may require palliative or end-of-life care, now or in the future
Is able-bodied and mobile, and thrives in an active and busy environment
For those who require bariatric care, the unit has two designated rooms with steel beams fitted to support ceiling track hoists, and wide door frames to enable safe movement and care.
Saxony Unit (male-only unit)
Has a primary mental health or neurological diagnosis, and presents with predominant mental health and behavioural needs
Requires a male-only environment
Is working age
Displays behaviours of concern that require structured support, specialist oversight, and enhanced safeguarding and risk management
May require high observation levels upon admission, including 1:1 or 2:1, reducing over time as health and wellbeing stabilises
May have experienced one or more failed placements in other care settings, or a prolonged hospital stay
Thrives in an active and sociable environment, with people going out daily if they wish
Requires care focused on structured support, consistent daily routines, skills development, meaningful occupation, and positive risk taking
Where possible, requires slow-stream rehabilitation and/or is working towards discharge to a less restrictive, lower acuity setting
Mallard Unit
Has a primary mental health diagnosis such as personality disorder and schizophrenia
Is working age
Displays behaviours of concern, requiring structured support and specialist oversight
May require high observation levels upon admission, including 1:1 or 2:1, reducing over time as health and wellbeing stabilises
May have limited mobility, requiring a wheelchair and/or hoist for mobilisation
Requires longer-term care as needs or risks mean community living is not appropriate, as a safe and cost-effective alternative to hospital-based care
Requires care focused on structured support, consistent daily routines, skills development, meaningful occupation, and positive risk taking

Getting to Tees Grange
Directions to Tees Grange
Tees Grange is a short drive from the A19 and other major roads including the A66 and A177.
If travelling north on the A19, take the A139 exit towards Norton/Billingham/A1027.
If travelling south on the A19, take the A1027 exit towards Billingham/Norton.
There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park.

The home is a short walk from several bus stops.
The Grange bus stop (stop ID: sktdatd), which is accessed by buses 35, 36, 37, 38 and 52.
Grassholm Road bus stop (stop ID: sktjmag), which is accessed by bus 38.
Army Reserve Centre bus stop (stop ID: sktdatd) which is accessed by buses 36, 52 and X10.
There are two train stations in the area.
Stockton - 1.3 miles away (29 minute walk or five minute drive).
Billingham - 2.5 miles away (ten minute drive).
