West Midlands winners
Our awards season kicked off on 2 November 2024 at the West Midlands regional awards, with eight finalists from five care homes.
We celebrated two winners.
Karen Hall, Office Manager at Otterburn, won The Ancillary Worker Award.
Valerie Paragon, Activities Coordinator at Otterburn, won The Dignity in Care Award.
Additionally, Bryan Bailey, Cook at Maypole Grove, was highly commended in The Care Home Cook/Chef Award.
North East winners
Next, we headed to Newcastle, where six incredible finalists represented Exemplar Health Care at the North East regional awards.
On the night, Sian Johnson, Catering Manager at Tees Grange, was highly commended in The Care Home Cook/Chef Award.
Yorkshire & Humber winners
Our biggest night yet took place in Leeds, where we proudly celebrated an incredible 25 finalists from the Yorkshire & Humber region.
We were delighted to see five winners crowned.
James MacDonald, Registered Nurse at Quarryfields in Doncaster, won The Social Care Nurse Award.
Patrick Powell, Office Manager at Ravensdale in Leeds, won The Putting People First/Personalisation Award.
Sara Robbins, Health Care Assistant at Fairburn Mews in Castleford, won The Dementia Carer Award.
Tameika Taylor, Activities Co-ordinator at Lonnen Grove in Rotherham, won The Care Home Activity Organiser Award.
The Senior Nursing Team at Dearnevale in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, won The Palliative Care/End of Life Award.
We’d also like to recognise our highly commended colleagues.
Emma Pease, Health Care Assistant at Fairburn Mews, Castleford – The Care Home Worker Award.
Emily Day, Health Care Assistant at Lonnen Grove, Rotherham – The Care Home Newcomer Award.
Hannah Blundell, Operational Development Manager in Central Support Services – The Care Innovator Award.
North West winners
On 9 November 2024, we celebrated the North West regional awards in Liverpool, where we had two outstanding colleagues recognised.
Ali Tajizadegan, Physiotherapist at Ribble View in Preston, won The Putting People First Award.
Chris Ravensdale, Clinical Nurse Manager at Brook View in Liverpool, highly commended in The Social Care Nurse Award.
East Midlands – coming soon

Our regional winners will now go on to attend the national finals in March 2025 at The ICC in Birmingham, where they’ll compete against winners from across the country for the prestigious national award.
