Located on Long Barn Lane in Warrington, Woolston House has 40 bedrooms across four small, purpose-built units, creating a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
The home has a male-only and a female-only mental health unit, as well as two specialist dementia units.
We’re dedicated to making every day better for the people we support, helping them lead meaningful lives and achieve their personal goals.
Our trained team provides high acuity, nurse-led care services, particularly for individuals with secondary diagnoses and co-morbidities, or those who’ve experienced previous failed placements.

With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely, and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
The home has communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub, a beauty salon, multi-faith room, sensory room, therapy kitchen, visitor's suite, and a large accessible garden.
We offer a variety of accessible baths and showers for a range of mobility needs.

Has complex mental health needs arising from a mental health or neurological diagnosis, including acquired brain injury, dementia, or Huntington’s disease
Is younger working-age
May display behaviours of concern
May have a forensic background
Has co-occurring physical health needs
May require nursing and clinical interventions, including catheter and stoma care, and enteral feeding
Requires care focused on stabilisation, and where appropriate, discharge to lower acuity settings
Paddington Unit (male-only)
Has complex mental health needs arising from a mental health or neurological diagnosis, including acquired brain injury, dementia, or Huntington’s disease
Is younger working-age
Displays behaviours of concern, including absconding
Has co-occurring health needs such as diabetes, dysphagia, or epilepsy
May present with increased clinical and safety risks, including infection, malnutrition, or falls
May have a forensic background
Has experienced one or more failed placements, often due to behaviours of concern and/or high acuity needs
Rixton Unit
Has complex physical health needs arising from a musculoskeletal or neurological condition, including dementia, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, or spinal injury
Has co-occurring health needs such as diabetes, dysphagia, or epilepsy
May require nursing and clinical interventions, including catheter and stoma care, and enteral feeding
May present with increased clinical and safety risks, including infection, malnutrition, or falls
Displays behaviours of concern, including absconding
Requires palliative or end-of-life care, now or in the near future
Walton Unit
Has a primary dementia diagnosis, including alcohol-related, early-onset, frontotemporal, or vascular dementia - now in the advanced stage
Is older/older working-age (50+)
Presents with co-occurring mental and physical health needs
Displays behaviours of concern, including absconding
Presents with increased clinical and safety risks including dysphagia, recurring falls, and pressure ulcers
Has experienced one or more failed placements, often due to behaviours of concern and/or high acuity needs
Requires palliative or end-of-life care, now or in the near future
