The home provides community based living for six adults living with a severe or profound and multiple learning disability (PMLD) and/or autism, who may also display behaviours of concern, be living with complex mental health needs or have a physical disability.

The Lodge has six large bedrooms, each with an en-suite wet room, and communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub and a large summer house. With this small group living, we’ve found we’re able to provide a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
Daily life at The Lodge is all about choice. Everything we do is personalised to the individuals we support.
Together with loved ones and professionals, we design a care plan, tailored to individual needs and goals, that enables people to live life exactly as they choose to. We encourage the people we support to continue to do the things they enjoy. We enable them to learn, volunteer and find new hobbies too if they wish.
Our dedicated Activities Team supports meaningful one-to-one activities, as well as group sessions and events.
The Lodge is close to local amenities and transport links so that people can maintain their community connections.

As a specialist care home, The Lodge has an excellent track record of supporting adults whose placements have previously failed. Our high staffing levels allow us to build trust and work at the pace of the individual, which leads to improved person-centred and longer-term outcomes.
Many of the people we support at The Lodge are deemed to display behaviours that are ‘too complex’ for mainstream nursing and care providers.
For many of our service users, we’re successful in achieving a significant reduction in behaviours of concern and use of observations within 12 weeks of stay.
