Success for Exemplar Health Care at the Great British Care Awards 2023

Hear from one of our Managing Directors, Ruth Foster, celebrating our incredible 45 finalists and six winners at this year’s Great British Care Awards regional finals.

Wow! It’s been another successful year for Exemplar Health Care at the Great British Care Awards regional finals. We’re incredibly proud of our 45 colleagues, who beat thousands of nominations to be selected as finalists in their category.

Following the prestigious award ceremonies over the past few months, it fills me with great pleasure to congratulate our six winners who were selected as best in their category and will now go on to the national finals in March.

• Francisca Kethiwe Tapfumaneyi from Longley Park View, winner of The Social Care Nurse Award in Yorkshire and Humberside      
• Jade Smethurst from Fairburn Mews, winner of The Dignity in Care Award in Yorkshire and Humberside    
• Claire Huckerby from Otterburn, winner of The Care Home Activity Organiser Award in the West Midlands
• Jane Lockwood from Edgewater, winner of The Social Care Nurse Award in the North West
• Donna Statham from Yarningdale, winner of The Social Care Nurse Award in the East Midlands
• Sarah Martin from Yarningdale, winner of The Care Home Activity Organiser Award in the East Midlands

This is a remarkable achievement for our colleagues and a very proud moment for Exemplar Health Care, and especially for myself as Managing Director of our core operations.

It’s a testament to the dedication and commitment of our colleagues to provide the highest standards of care and make every day better for the people we support.

We’ve always had a good track record at the Great British Care Awards, achieving 21 finalists and three regional winners in 2022.

The fact that our presence has more than doubled this year is fantastic to see.

Every day, I see the difference that our colleagues make to people’s lives.

To have that recognised nationally and be able to celebrate with the best of the best in the sector, is a special moment for us, and means the world to colleagues.

Please join me in wishing our regional winners the best of luck in March when they go up against winners from other regions to win the national award.
